New Year, New You! Tips for Successful Aging

Start the new year with tips and best practices to help you enjoy the journey of aging. AOS Care Management and Elmcroft of Southern Pines are hosting a six-month educational series, Ask the Expert – Age with Success! Make plans to attend the second Thursday, January – June, at 2:30 p.m. The programs will be held at Elmcroft of Southern Pines 101 Brucewood Road, Southern Pines.

 

Local experts will lead discussions on a variety of topics including Tips for Successful Aging, Understanding Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia, Conversations with an Aging Life Care Professional, Relocating, Downsizing and Moving into a Senior Community, End of Life Planning, and Understanding Long Term Care. Each session will be filled with valuable information and conclude with a question and answer period.

 

Penny Lachance an aging life care professional with AOS Care Management is the first speaker on January 10. Lachance believes “successful aging is aging well.” She will explain ways to ways to enhance and enjoy the journey of aging. Researchers have found that there are some key components demonstrated by those who report both quality of life and longevity as they age. Join Lachance in an open discussion and discover a few tips that when followed help older adults live more active and healthy lives.

 

The doors will open at 2:00 p.m. to provide participants an opportunity visit with the panel of experts and pick-up information on available resources. The program will begin at 2:30 p.m.
